Bank of America took over my Countrywide mortgage.  I found out when I logged in to pay my mortgage online and got redirected.  I ended up having to telephone tech support to get into the new website and then found out they were adding a $6 service charge for paying online.  I tried to pay at a local branch bank and was told that they couldn't take my check without a payment coupon.  Bank of America never sent me one and I haven't been able to find one to download.  Tomorrow I'll call them (again) and ask where to get the coupon.  I've only got another week before they charge me a late fee.

 I don't know if you've been able to get your problem resolved, but if you've fought them and are getting nowhere with them, go to www.consumerist.com and search for Bank of America and then look for their EECB info (that way you can send the executives an email carpet bomb).  Hopefully, you will then get an answer and a positive resolution to the problem.  I have learned quite a bit about stuff in the time I've been reading the consumerist site.
