I saw the story about the poll today (March 31, 2009). Fans are complaining prices are too high. Gee, well, do something then. STOP GOING TO THE GAMES. Let the schmucks go and pay $18 to park their car at the new mets parking field (I won't use the name of the corporate john that paid for the naming rights). Let the idiots pay for $55 for a golf shirt. You can get 3 polo shirts from landsend for that kind of money (actually you'd need about $60 if their prices are still the same). And if you want your team's name on the polo shirt, LandsEnd can monogram it for you for $5 or $6 (less if there's a sale). Granted, the monogram won't look like the actual golf shirt, but then that's the whole point.
So, stop your bellyaching and just don't go. Don't buy the high-priced food or trinkets or clothes. Just stop caring about them. Trust me, after the 1994 baseball strike, I stopped caring about the Mets. No more agita when they lost. I feel much better.
Don't watch the games or read about them either. Casual reading is ok. The point is to not get worked up over it.
